Updating the Camera Firmware. Create a folder on the computer hard disk and name it as desired. Download F-D800-V111W.exe to the folder created in Step 1. Run F-D800-V111W.exe to extract the following file to a folder named “D800Update”: • D800_0111.bin (the camera firmware)
Also if battery is not fully charged it will not offer update. Tried both CF and SD. Brand newno earlier fileseach formatted in the camera. As reported by someone else, the file does appear to be ON the card. it just won't transferand the firmware screen shows the older firmware (004, etc.) but only shows "OK".Turn the camera on. Press the camera MENU button to display the menus. Press the multi selector left to display menu icons, then highlight [ Set up] and press OK. Highlight [ Firmware version] in the [ Set up] menu and press OK to display the camera firmware version. Check the camera firmware version. Turn the camera off.
